About me

I am a freelance researcher within the world of libraries, information, culture, publishing and the digital society.

I am also web editor (p/t) at the Ethical Consumer magazine, and in a voluntary capacity am the co-editor of Yoga Scotland magazine.

I was a civil servant at the Welsh Government for 13 years, involved with all aspects of library policy and strategy in CyMAL. Prior to that I was in education, undertaking Masters degrees and a doctorate. I also worked in various libraries and for Honno, a women’s publishing company in Wales.

The ‘other me’ is a yoga teacher and massage therapist. I try to keep my social media channels separate but if you’re interested in those aspects please look up my yoga and massage Facebook page or website and blog.

In my spare time I like exploring the local area, recreational cycling and jogging, gardening, vegan cooking (and eating!), spending time with my cat, reading, and listening to music (live and at home).

I live in Scotland, land of my birth, and moved here in 2018 from Wales (where I lived for 20 years).
